“We were very fortunate to have Helena step in as our doula during the last few weeks of my pregnancy. We enjoyed the pre-birth meetings with her and appreciated her thorough questions that helped us consider all aspects of the birth, as well as honest chat over cake. And she is so incredibly responsive.
We were hoping for a VBAC – we hadn’t expected it to be quite so long and dramatic at the end, but Helena gave us energy, practical help, and confidence in our decisions. It made it the best it could be and we achieved what we wanted. With Helena with us it seemed a wonderful experience."

For the on call period I will be working my life around you and your needs, which requires total commitment on my part and a lot of understanding from my husband and three children. I have missed parties, birthdays and even Christmas morning with my family to be at births, therefore my fees reflect this level of commitment.
BY HIRING MY SERVICES YOU ARE INVESTING IN YOUR BIRTH EXPERIENCE AND YOURSELF!
When accepting the role of a doula I spend my time thinking about that mother, preparing birth affirmations, researching and providing information when needed, making aromatherapy preparations, stocking my doula basket with things that she might want during her labour, and being available at all times. To understand what being a doula entails and the value I provide please read these articles by Jodi the Doula and Cord Doula Collective Services.
Absolutely brilliant doula - I couldn't have managed the water VBAC without your amazing help and focus. My husband agreed you were absolutely indispensable. I can't recommend you more highly and am very grateful!
If you have the chance to have Helena as your doula, seize your opportunity - she is fantastic! She was amazing in the birth room. Just so focused and practical and proactive and creative. My husband says the same."
